What We Loved From 2018!

It’s hard to believe that 2018 is coming to an end. It seems like just yesterday we were cleaning up confetti from our 2018 New Year’s Eve party!

With the new year just around the corner, we wanted to look back on some of our favorite things about 2018! From color pops to puppies, 2018 brought some fun items that we would love to see back in 2019.

COLORFUL BLOOMS

Ian and Elizabeth’s wedding florals featured a variety of colors: coral, purple, yellow, blue, and bright pink. Don’t get us wrong, we love a good blush wedding, but it’s fun to mix it up and have some unique color pops! We still dream about this bouquet at night…….

KING PROTEA

One bloom that was particularly popular this year was the King Protea (big, white, Jurassic Park looking flower in the picture above). This focal flower is sure to grab the attention of your wedding guests and looks awesome in wedding pictures. Common colors for this particular protea are white and light pink.

A BOLD WEDDING DRESS

We are slightly obsessed with everything about this wedding. Maegan opted for a bright yellow skirt which complemented the colorful florals so well! Is a colored wedding dress not your thing? No worries, make your bridesmaids and groomsmen take on a fun color instead!

ADDING A SENTIMENTAL PIECE

We always tear up thinking about the exchange that happened in the picture above. Tara’s mom passed away three years ago, and to honor her, the bridal bouquet was wrapped in lace from her mother’s wedding dress. We definitely had “allergies” when we handed this bouquet over. Adding pieces like necklaces, pendants, or fabrics from loved ones can make your flowers hold even more meaning.

LARGE CEREMONY INSTALLATIONS

Do you know how many photos your photographer takes of you and your significant other during the ceremony? A LOT, A LOT, A LOT. So why not make sure your background is gorgeous? Deck out those arbors, chuppahs, mandaps, etc!

UNCONVENTIONAL PHOTO LOCATIONS

How fun is this picture of these coffee lovers?! We love seeing our couples embrace new photo locations, especially if it is a place that is special to them. Also, coffee = life.

GROOMS THAT CRY

Bring on the tears, boys. Even if you have to have your best man step on your foot to get you to shed a single tear, we want to see some emotion in your face! Best. pictures. ever.

LASTLY………PUPPIES!

I’m not sure we need to say anything more here. Puppies automatically make every picture that much cuter.

So that’s what we loved about 2018, and what we hope we see again in 2019! Also, we loved our sweet couples this past year. We truly have the best clients, and you make what we do worth it.

Have a wonderful holiday season!
